The AI Fair Use Index evaluates companies according to their use of artificial intelligence (AI). In principle, we assume that companies produce 90 % of their products and services with the help of AI. This means that every company starts with a poor rating.
The valuation principle: reverse procedure
Companies can only improve their categorisation if they can prove that they use less AI and thus preserve jobs and added value. The lower the proportion of AI, the higher the level.
The certification levels
- AI Fair Use Basic: Up to 60 % use of AI
up to 80% use of AI ➝ Companies show initial proof that part of value creation is still carried out by humans. - AI Fair Use Silver: Up to 40 % use of AI
➝ The majority of products and services are still based on human labour. - AI Fair Use Gold: Up to 20 % use of AI
➝ Companies consciously focus on human expertise and secure jobs in the long term.
The AI Fair Use Company Database
All companies are first entered in the database with 90 % AI-Support categorised. Only when a company submits evidence will the categorisation be reviewed and an official certificate will be issued.
The aim of the AI Fair Use Index is to create transparency and enable consumers to make informed purchasing decisions - for companies that take responsibility for labour and society.
